About Us

Welcome to SAMMUN’26, the first Model United Nations conference organized by Garip Zeycan Yıldırım Science Highschool.

SAMMUN’26 is a student-led conference which aims to bring together students with different ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds in an environment where they can discuss global issues and explore possible solutions. Being the first MUN conference of our school, SAMMUN’26 represents a significant step for our community and an opportunity for us to create a meaningful experience that goes beyond the classroom.

Throughout the conference, delegates are expected to represent different countries and discuss various international issues through debate, negotiation, and collaboration in order to find solutions. During the process, delegates will have the opportunity to improve their public speaking, research, teamwork, and diplomatic skills, as well as learn how to approach complex issues by gaining different perspectives.

At SAMMUN’26, we believe that MUN is not simply about speaking in front of a committee or finding the right solution to a problem. It is also a chance to listen, understand different viewpoints, defend ideas respectfully, and find common ground.

We have worked tirelessly to create a well-prepared, and memorable conference where every delegate feels encouraged to participate, exchange ideas, and make their voice heard. As an organizing team, we hope SAMMUN’26 will provide an experience where delegates can challenge themselves, meet new people, and leave this conference with valuable experiences and lasting memories. From both inside and outside the committee rooms, we want SAMMUN’26 to be an unforgettable experience.

SAMMUN’26 is the beginning of a new tradition at Garip Zeycan Yıldırım Science High School. We are excited to take this first step together and welcome you to our conference.
